The guesthouse has a charming vibe and a cozy atmosphere, with clean linens and quality toiletries that stood out during my stay. Breakfast options were varied, with plenty of fresh fruit and a tempting array of cooked meals that fellow guests clearly enjoyed.
The room I got was on the smaller side, really tight for space—just enough room for a bed and a kettle, which didn't leave much floor space. The thin walls meant I had a jarring night, hearing everything from the shared bathroom next door to guests talking loudly before dawn. it definitely disrupted my peace and quiet. some areas felt spotted with old cigarette smells, which didn't help my restful experience.

Consider requesting a room in the rear for a quieter experience, as the front may experience some road noise.

Glenys makes your stay special
Upon arrival, Glenys welcomed us with genuine warmth and showed us to a comfortable room that featured spotless linens and quality toiletries. Breakfast was a delightful spread, complete with a hearty full English and plenty of fresh fruit.
While the room was cozy, it felt a bit cramped for our needs, and we did experience some road noise at night. the shared shower could be heard clearly, which was somewhat disruptive.

I had a lovely one-night stay. The full English breakfast was fantastic and filling. Glenys made us feel welcome, and she even recommended a great nearby Indian restaurant for dinner. My double room was cozy, and the mattress was very comfortable for a good night's sleep. great value for the price! 🥘

Had a fantastic time at Birtley House. Glenys welcomed me like family from the start. My double en suite room was spacious with a comfy large bed and a surprisingly good hospitality tray filled with snacks and quality teas. The shower was powerful, and the toiletries were excellent. The breakfasts? Incredible! A hearty full English that kept me going until dinner. The neighborhood felt calm, a nice escape from the busy road outside. A couple of things could improve. There was some road noise at night, though it quieted down as the evening progressed. Plus, the wifi connection was a bit spotty, which made it hard to check some things online. Still, a lovely place to stay overall and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Just a perfect match for a weekend pause in Telford with attractive and competitive value for money. The shower had great pressure and was always at a nice temperature, making it refreshing after a long day. Try to ask for a room at the back to avoid any noise from the road outside.

The room offered good value, but the shower space felt cramped, affecting comfort. Despite the delicious breakfast comprising fresh fruit and a hearty cooked meal, noise from the shared bathroom proved disruptive, making it tough to get a restful night.
